Creation Story

Woka - which translates to country in Yorta Yorta, my country, my home.
The hot summers and gathering of people, the smell of the eucalyptus, the sound of the birds, the feeling of the warm breeze on my skin, warm sun beaming down, the sound of the running water from the river. This piece depicts my childhood summer days, growing up in a country town, on my grandmothers country feeling the ancestors spirits guide me. Feeling the strong presence of Mulana (spirit). The grounds are warm and hold stories. The dirt is rough and holds life. My feet are bare, my heart is full, and my mind is connected.
